President's Message

Classroom lectures on risk management, personal financial planning and actuarial analytical skills were geared towards the real-world exposures students encounter, including how to figure out student loan financing, why automobile insurance is expensive and how probability forecasting is used every day. These concepts will contribute to their personal risk management awareness. Field trips to AAA’s Automobile Insurance Exchange and The Walt Disney Company studios in Burbank exposed students to the wide variety of career opportunities available in the industry. Riskbusters was supported by a grant from the Spencer Educational Foundation. Plans are in the works for next year’s camp, so spread the word to your high schoolers.
