Student Scholarships

Over the last decade, our generous sponsors’ support has enabled us to make minimum annual donations of $14,000 to each of the Risk Management & Insurance Programs at University of Colorado Denver Business School and New Mexico State University for scholarships and attending industry conferences. Last October, the Board approved increasing our minimum annual donation amount to $20,000, a 43% increase! Thank you for making this possible through your sponsorship and participation in the Rocky Mountain RIMS chapter. Your continued support empowers and enhances educational opportunities for the next generation of risk professionals! Together, we're making a difference and creating a lasting impact for the future!



The Rocky Mountain Chapter of RIMS (The Risk Management Society) awards scholarships to Risk Management & Insurance (RMI) students at University of Colorado Denver for the spring and fall semesters each year. The application, along with criteria for eligibility, will be posted here during the open application period. 


The Rocky Mountain Chapter of RIMS (The Risk Management Society) will be awarding three $1,500 scholarships to Risk Management & Insurance (RMI) students at University of Colorado Denver for the Spring 2026 Semester. Submit your Scholarship Application, report card and essay by e-mail as a single scanned attachment, to arrive no later than 10:00pm Mountain Time on Monday, April 6,2026, to rockymtnrims@gmail.com with “RIMS Spring 2026 Scholarship Application” in the subject line.

 

In 2024, we have already sent Scholarships to NMSU for the following:
$7,000 Fall Semester
$7,000 Spring Semester
$4,000 National RIMS Conference
$2,000 Western Regional RIMS Conference
