Bio

Gregg Woodman has over 30 years of experience in the risk management & insurance industry and in January 2023, he joined Burroughs & Chapin Company, Inc., which is a privately held real estate investment trust, as the Director of Risk Management.  Most recently, he was the Assistant Vice President/Senior Risk Manager for iStar Inc. & Safehold Inc., where he co-managed the corporate insurance programs and performed risk management-related functions on various real estate transactions including loans, acquisitions, construction projects and foreclosures. Prior to joining iStar in 2006, Gregg was a Principal Risk Analyst for The Coca-Cola Company for almost six years. In that role he managed various insurance programs and other responsibilities included contract review and working on special projects such as the Olympics and World Cup. In addition to selling commercial insurance for a short period of time, Gregg was also an underwriter for Fireman's Fund Insurance, Hanover Insurance, and Prudential Property & Casualty.

Gregg  has been involved with RIMS for over 25 years. He is currently on the Annual Conference Planning Committee, received the Walter H. Buce, Jr. Memorial Award from the Atlanta RIMS Chapter as the 2023 Insurance and Risk Management Professional of the The Year, and has been a panel speaker multiple time for the Real Estate Industry session at the Annual Conference. He also recently served as the Co-Chair of the 2022 Atlanta RIMS Chapter Educational Conference and previously held other Chapter roles, including President.
