Debra Samuel is the Director of Insurance Risk Management for Howmet Aerospace Inc. a company that was formerly known as Arconic Inc. and before that Alcoa Inc. Alcoa is a company that was founded in 1888 in Pittsburgh, PA and is a global leader in engineered metal products. On November 1, 2016, Alcoa spun off the mining, smelting, refining and energy portion of Alcoa Inc. to a newly-formed company named Alcoa Corporation. Alcoa Inc. was renamed Arconic Inc. On April 1, 2020, Arconic Inc. spun off the flat-rolled products and building and construction business of Arconic Inc. to a newly-formed company named Arconic Corporation. Arconic Inc. was renamed Howmet Aerospace Inc. I have been with the legacy Alcoa Inc., Arconic Inc. and Howmet Aerospace Inc. for 16 years. Prior to that time, I worked for PNC Financial Services Group and Rockwell International Corporation. I hold both the CPCU and ARM designations and am active in RIMS on both the society and local levels. On the society level, I served as Chair of both the Nominating Committee and Member & Chapter Services and was a member of the Conference Programming Committee. On the local level, I am the Secretary and Delegate, past President and Program Chair. In 2017, I was named the RIMS Ambassador and have been a frequent speak at this conference.
