Mr. Brown is a registered professional engineer, RIMS Certified Risk Management Professional, Associate in Risk Management - ERM, and Project Management Professional, among others. With over two decades of deep risk management experience in large global companies, he brings pragmatic expertise in enterprise and operational risk management and resilience. John became intrigued with the complexity of risk perception when he was working in the financial services industry, and then especially when he created a risk management program across the global value chain and corporate technical functions of a large beverage company. His understanding of the cultural and psychological aspects of risk was instrumental in designing processes, tools and techniques that work globally. Previously working directly within companies, John now leverages his deep risk expertise to guide multiple organizations along their risk management journey. Mr. Brown has contributed to risk management standards including ISO31000:2018 Risk Management Guidelines, and he co-chaired the committee that created the standard ANSI/ASIS SCRM.1-2014: Supply Chain Risk Management: A Compilation of Best Practices.
