Located at the historical Alexander Keith's Brewery in Halifax, we learned about advanced analytics and new technology and the associated risk management considerations. Following the education component, attendees were able to take part in a great brewery tour, listen to live music, and enjoyed lots of time for socialization and networking. .

Risk Management Retreat 2024

June 6-7, 2024

2024 marked the revival of the Risk Management Retreat on Prince Edward Island. With plenty of opportunities for networking and professional development, the retreat allowed for new connections to be made and industry information to be shared. A mixer and traditional lobster dinner was held at Carr's Oyster Bar, with great music and lots of laughs.

In Atlantic Canada, Nova Scotia saw over 23,000 hectares burned, 200 structures lost to fire, and over $165 million in insured damage. Join us as we dig deeper into wildfire risk and prepare for the years ahead.

Education Session - Cyber Security and Lessons Learned

Frank Fazio, the founder of CySAT Security Inc. will be providing a cyber security presentation on various topics such as social engineering attacks, stealing credentials, phishing, spear phishing, whaling, smishing, and a lot more other cyber security related topic! Frank’s practice is “focused on equipping individuals with the skills and knowledge they need to protect themselves online and the critical assets of the organizations they represent” ( Home | CySAT Security Inc.).

 

In addition to this, we’ll also be learning about the impact on cyber incidents on municipalities and infrastructure assets from Ian Fogan, Commissioner, Utilities & Infrastructure, City of Saint John / La Ville de Saint John.
