Currently under contract with the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) to conduct virtual and in-person workshops. Courses include: Managing Workers’ Compensation, Employer's Liability & Employment Practices Liability, Claims Management, Fundamentals of Insurance, and Fundamentals of Risk Management.
Prior to his retirement from corporate life in June 2020, Chris was Vice President of Risk Management, Corporate Social Responsibility and Indirect Procurement at Rite Aid Corporation based in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. During his time there, he led the teams responsible for all risk finance and risk control functions including insurance placement, self-administered casualty claims, first party claim resolution and the safety and environmental compliance programs. In addition, he coordinated the Company’s environmental social and governance sustainability programs, and lead the team responsible for the negotiation and contracting of all corporate goods and services.
Chris moved to Rite Aid in 2014 from Bentonville, Arkansas where, as Sr. Director of Safety for Walmart Stores, he led the teams responsible for development and implementation of loss control and OSHA compliance strategies for all US retail operations.
Prior to joining Walmart, Chris was Assistant Vice President of Risk Management at Pathmark Stores, Inc. in Carteret, NJ, overseeing self-insured, self-administered workers compensation and general liability claim programs, and with responsibility for their risk finance, risk control and regulatory compliance programs.
Chris is a graduate of New Jersey Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and holds Associate in Risk Management designation from the Insurance Institute of America.
