Matthew White is an insurance broker and risk management professional with over 15 years of experience. He has advised some of the largest organizations in Canada across a wide spectrum of industries including Municipalities, Federal Crown Corporations, Manufacturers, High Tech, Healthcare, Real Estate, Infrastructure and Rail mobility.
He graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with honours in their Bachelor of Business Administration Program with a minor in Economics. He is a licensed insurance broker across Canada and earned his CIP and CRM designations.
He began his career at Marsh, a global insurance broker and risk advisor, in Toronto, focusing on a government transit agency, global manufacturers, and other multinational organizations. In 2017, he transferred to Marsh’s Ottawa office to work with Crown Corporations, Public Entities, National Not-for-profits and Risk-Managed accounts in the high-tech industry.
Matthew is currently Vice President, Partner at Halpenny Insurance Brokers, the largest independent brokerage in Eastern Ontario.
Matthew has been an active member of the RIMS Ottawa Chapter since 2018 and currently serves as the Director of Programming.
