PANEL DISCUSSION:  Current State of Wearable Technology & Implications for Workers’ Compensation

Please join the Long Island Chapter RIMS and Long Island Chapter ASSE for a special panel discussion during which Mr. Ryan will be joined by representatives from a company that manufactures the wearable devices and an insurance carrier which applies analytics to the data gathered to help clients improve loss prevention efforts, enhance training and job safety.

This panel session will provide an overview of the current state of the wearable technology marketplace.

We will review the considerations of wearable technology and Workers’ Compensation and how evidence-based data can promote workplace safety and improve the claim and post-loss injury management process. 

Our session will focus on the following key areas where employers and claim professionals can impact wellness, safety, and claim outcomes:

  • Safety Prevention and Training.
  • Claim Management
  • Disability Management / Return to Work / Fitness for Duty
