About OCRIMS
The Orange County Chapter of the Risk & Insurance Management Society (RIMS) was formed in 1976 to serve risk management professionals in the Southern California area. Our mission is to advance education, communication and professional ethics in the risk management community.
Since our founding, we have evolved into a thriving professional society benefitting our members and the local community at large. OCRIMS has won numerous awards for excellence as recognized by RIMS, and our efforts have been recognized with chapter and individual awards including the four members earning the prestigious Heart of RIMS Award.
The chapter has established an ongoing scholarship award program with the School of Risk Management & Insurance at Cal State University, Fullerton, and supports the SRMI curriculum with guest speakers.
Community outreach is a major focus for OCRIMS; our chapter annually collects donations for local charities. Kids Chance has been the featured charity for our recent golf classics.
