Enterprise Risk Management

  • 1.  ISO 31000 OSHA'S VPP

    Have you adopted the ISO 31000 as a management tool to facilitate your Enterprise Risk Management?  Was it difficult to get managerial buy in?  Did you purchase the materials from ISO or develop your own survey s to collect data?

    Are there any public entities using ISO 31000?

    OSHA has a VPP program, are any of you using their guidelines to participate in that program.  I believe it takes a few years to get entrenched and approved.  Have you reached that level of involvement?

    We're a state agency implementing ERM and looking at ISO 31000.  I would be interested to have more information on getting managerial buy in and advice on using the ISO publications such as Guide 73.
