Special Guest | Dr Kylie Moore-Gilbert
On September 12, 2018 British-Australian academic Dr Kylie Moore-Gilbert was arrested at Tehran Airport by Iran’s feared Islamic Revolutionary Guards. Convicted of espionage in a shadowy trial, Dr Moore-Gilbert was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Incarcerated in Tehran’s Evin and Qarchak prisons for 804 days. Held in a filthy solitary confinement cell for months, and subjected to relentless interrogation, Kylie was pushed to the limits of her endurance by extreme physical and psychological deprivation.
At the Conference Dr Moore-Gilbert’s will share her remarkable story of courage and resilience, and a powerful meditation on hope, solidarity and what it means to be free.

The 2024 Conference will take place over two locations. The morning session will take place at Lendlease (International Towers, Barangaroo, Sydney), before moving to Establishment Ballroom where a networking lunch will be served prior to sessions recommencing.
The day will conclude with a networking function until 7pm, members unable to attend the conference are extended a warm welcome to join attendees.
