I graduated in April 2020 with a Bachelor of Commerce in Risk Management Insurance and Finance from the University of Calgary's Haskayne School of Business. Throughout my time at university, I have been actively involved on campus. I held several Director positions in student clubs on campus and was selected to be the Vice President of Academics and Governance for the Association of Risk Management and Insurance in my third year. I held that position until my graduation. I have worked in TD Canada Trust for most of my degree, but hope to venture into insurance as an underwriter and eventually enter cybersecurity.
Outside of academics, for the past five years, I have been volunteering at a local Montessori preschool; I believe that it is very important to give back to the community and I try volunteering as often as possible. During my time at university, I was a mentor for the Emerging Leaders Program and an Orientation Leader, both of which involved welcoming first-year students into university and helping them transition.
I am very honored to have been selected as one of the Anita Benedetti Student Involvement Program scholars and excited to partake in the annual RIMS conference. I hope to be able to broaden my knowledge of risk management and insurance on a global scale and get a chance to network with people from all over the world.
