March breakfast session - AIG

SARIMS is proud to present our March Breakfast Education Session on Thursday, March 7, 2024 with AIG Canada’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Peter Walker. Pete will highlight AIG’s recently announced results including its Canadian contribution. Pete will also delve into the risk landscape we operate in and explore the nuclear verdicts that continue to impact U.S. exposures, cyber risk and the war on talent.

Speakers: Peter Walker – President and CEO - AIG Insurance Company of Canada

Peter Walker is President and Chief Executive Officer of AIG Canada. In this capacity, he is responsible for leading AIG’s operations in Canada through the execution of its strategic plans. Peter joined AIG in September 2020 as chief underwriting officer and was responsible for leading and driving the company’s underwriting strategy and performance of its commercial insurance business. Prior to joining AIG, Peter held numerous underwriting leadership roles in North American, the UK and Asia-Pacific markets. His broad experience gained over the past 25 years includes the role of chief technical underwriter at Aviva Canada; head of technical underwriting for Zurich’s global commercial insurance business; and chief property underwriter within Zurich’s Asia Pacific operations. He is a prior board member of the Property and Casualty Insurance Compensation Corporation (PACCIC) and is a current board member of AIG Canada and the Global Commercial Insurers Association.
